कृष्णं वन्दे जगद्गुरुम् – Teacher’s Day

India celebrating Teachers Day, I recall my memory of 1947 when migrated to India in U.P. Mass demonstrations held in UP on Teacher’s Day on 05.09.2018.

I was in school in 1947 and most of my teachers had no shoes to wear. They used to come bare footed to teach in schools due to poverty.

The position has not changed. Teachers are not paid well, not given regular salaries in most of the states and their condition is deplorable.

I appeal to Honorable Minister Prakash Javadekar to look into the matter and do something viable.

Teacher contribute a lot in human development and education.
