Among the most holy
Sikh Gurudwara Bangla Sahib commemorates the visit to Delhi of the eighth Sikh Guru,
Guru Harkishan Sahib Ji (7 July 1656 –
30 March 1664).
Guru Harkishan agreed to
stay in Bungalow in Delhi, the spiritual powers of Guru Ji in infancy attracted
the wife of Raja Jai Singh. In those days smallpox and cholera diseases raised
in Delhi caused grief and loss of life.
He poured Charanamrit (sanctified
water) in choubacha (small tank). All those who took, cured instantly. Remembered
as ‘Bala Peer’ and ‘Bala Guru’ in recognition of his noble deeds and sacrifice.
Visited by 10000 of all
faiths for ‘Seva’ and take the ‘bliss’ of Guru Harkishan Sahib Ji – powerful healing.
