Presently every other
day the common Man of Kashmir protests against the incompetence of Indian
Governance. Fuelled by provocative speeches of separatist leaders the common
man refuses to cooperate with the security forces, the elected legislature and
the rest of India. Their demand is a Kashmir left alone.
They ask, “Is God
dead?” They ask for a day when the only noise on the streets is not from a gun.
They ask for an age where the youth is not in rebellion. They ask for a time
when no child is orphaned, no sister is raped and no mother is widowed. They
ask for a Kashmir separate from the rest of India. They ask for a “Paradise” on
earth. And while they wish for all this.
