M.M. Kalburgi Murder

M.M. Kalburgi Murder

The other day on 12 September 2015, I wrote in my blog that celebrated authors, writers, philosophers are returning their academy awards. Sh. Ashok Vajpayi has returned the money given to him as award. This dissent of writers has assumed a new height which never happened before.

Salman Rushdie has also endorsed “these are alarming times for free expression”, saying “only the Govt. can answer”.

“Booker prize winning writer Salman Rushdie has expressed concern at the rise of a new ‘thuggish’ violence in Indian society.” Says, “Mr. Modi is a talkative gentleman and has a lot to say on a lot of subjects.” It would be very good to hear what he has to say about all this.

Shashi Deshpande fears we are losing that “culture of free discourse”.

Raghubir Lal Anand had put a blog on 10 September 2015, condemning the murder of M.M. Kalburgi a scholar who wrote against idol worship, sorcery and superstitious. I requested all authors of the world to condemn this.

The culmination is mass return of academy awards and protest by the eminent writer Salman Rushdie.

What turn these event will take God alone knows? India is passing though a very critical, complex and horrific time.

Hindu Muslim Unity is need of the hour.
